Meeting
Location and Directions
ASIG meetings are held on the First Hill campus of Swedish Medical
Center, 1100 Madison St, Suite 200, Seattle.
From I-5 north:
§ Take the James Street exit (164A), stay in left
lane, (don't enter I-90)
§ At the intersection at the end of the
exit, turn right onto James Street
§ Go up the hill to Boren, turn left on
Boren
§ Travel a few blocks to Marion Street,
turn right; the Minor and Marion Parking Garage (below the 1100 Madison
St building) will be on your left.
From I-5 south:
§ Take the Columbia-Cherry exit, stay in
left hand lane
§ Turn left on Cherry
§ At the first street after the freeway,
7th Avenue, turn left again
§ Travel to Madison Street, turn right
§ To park in the Minor and Marion Parking
Garage, turn right on Boren, left on Marion and left into the parking
garage.

Objectives
The objectives of the ASIG shall be:
§ To provide a forum for discussion and
exchange of ideas, information and common concerns of physical therapy
managers.
§ To further the knowledge, skills and
expertise of physical therapists involved in the management of physical
therapy services.
§ To serve as a resource body involved in
acquiring, storing and disseminating information relating to the
management and practice of physical therapy.
§ To inform and influence public policy,
payers and regulatory bodies on physical therapy issues.
§ To provide a vehicle for increasing and
improving communication, both professional and social, among physical
therapy managers.
§ To provide both internal and external
continuing education in areas pertinent to the management of physical
therapy services.
§ To encourage the participation of
physical therapy managers in ASIG, PTWA and APTA.
§ To provide a voice for input to the PTWA
Board of Directors.
